Save some space on your winch drum and gain some strength with SafeAll’s Steel Swaged Winch Line. Through the manufacturing process, this steel cable increases its capacity by more than 25 percent when compared to standard steel winch lines of the same diameter. This construction provides better resistance to abrasion, kinking and birdnesting.

A favorite of light-duty winch operators, this swaged steel line is available in diameters of 3/8” to 7/16” and lengths from 50 feet to 100 feet. During the swaging process, this cable starts out as the next size bigger but compresses down to the next size smaller. This makes the strength of the cable equal to the next size bigger, but it does make the cable less flexible. Since it is already compacted during production, there is less space within the winch rope to compact if it is exposed to crushing.

At the end of the steel line is a forged alloy steel self-locking swivel hook connected to a flemished eye with steel thimble and ferrule. The conical shape of the sleeve conceals any exposed cable ends to prevent fraying and snagging. The eye is created by mechanically splicing the rope's strands and securing them with a clamp.
